Training Level Responsibilities Area of Specialization
>>Technician trained in electrical systems<<
  • May perform general work and maintenance on the vehicle
  • The following services are included in their responsibilities: 12V battery change, inspection and changing a wheel
  • Mechanical procedures that have been assigned by a high-voltage technician may be performed on a de-energized high-voltage system.
  • Hybrid vehicle function and operation
  • Necessary protections and safety procedures.
  • Identification of high-voltage components
All personnel who work on hybrid vehicles in an Audi dealership must be a technician trained in electrical systems. All other technicians must have training in electric vehicles (safety guidelines).

Any Audi service center that is going to be performing procedures on a high-voltage vehicle must have at least one qualified high-voltage technician on staff.
