Oil Level, Checking

Test Requirement:
- The vehicle is in a level position.
Vehicles with vibration damper:
-- Remove the bolts -B arrows- and the heat shield -2-.
-- Remove the bolts -A arrows- and push the vibration damper -1- rearward over the driveshaft.
All Vehicles:
- So that the ATF oil level is set in the all-wheel drive clutch, the ATF drain plug -2- must be unscrewed approximately five turns -a-.
-- Unscrew the ATF drain plug -2- five turns.
- Dimension -a- is approximately 5 mm or five turns.
-- Remove the ATF fill plug -1-.
- The ATF level is correct when the all-wheel drive clutch is filled up to the lower edge of the oil fill hole.
- If necessary, fill ATF up to the lower edge of the oil filler hole.
-- Tighten the ATF fill plug -1- and the ATF drain plug -2-.
Tightening Specifications

Vehicles with vibration damper:
-- Tighten the vibration damper -1- with bolts -A arrows-.
-- Tighten the heat shield -2- with bolts -B arrows-.
