Seals On Protective Pipe, Replacing, Excluding 0D7/0DY

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

• Conversion Kit 3336A/1:3336A 
• Assembly Tool: T40391 

• 0D7/0DY. Refer to Seals .

-- Remove the transmission. Refer to the appropriate Service Information. .

-- Remove the torque converter. Refer to TORQUE CONVERTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Secure the :3336A  -2- with the :3336A/2  -3- on the converter housing -1- as shown and tighten to 25 Nm.

-- Lock the forward/back adjustment at hole 8 -arrow-.

-- Remove the converter housing -1- from the transmission -2-.

-- Remove the protective pipe -2- from the transmission housing.

-- Place the new seal -1- on the protective pipe.

-- Push the protective pipe in the transmission housing all the way -arrow-.

Tip

• The protective pipe must not be removed anymore because the gasket will be removed from the correct installation position.
• The installation position can be marked -arrow- for checking.

-- Pry out the old seal and push the new seal -1- with the : T40391  -2- over the shaft.

-- Press in the seal all the way using the :T40391  -1-.

-- Install the new alignment sleeves -1-.

-- Push the new seal -2- on the alignment sleeves.

-- Guide the transmission and converter housing carefully and evenly together at the same time do not damage the seal -arrow B- with the protective pipe -arrow A-.

-- Tighten the bolts -1 to 15-.

-- Install the torque converter. Refer to TORQUE CONVERTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the transmission. Refer to the appropriate Service Information. .
