Coat O-rings and seals with ATF. Other types of lubrication leads to faults in the transmission control module hydraulics.

  1. Transmission Fluid Pan
    • Removing and Installing. Refer to the appropriate Service Information. .
  2. Seal
    • Always replace
  3. ATF Filter
  4. O-Ring
    • Always replace
  5. Bolt
  6. Mechatronic
  7. O-Ring
    • Always replace
  8. O-Rings
  9. Seals
  10. Connector Housing
    • Always replace
  11. Bolt
    • 5.5 Nm
  12. ATF Pipe
    • Always replace
  13. Bolt
    • 5 Nm
  14. O-Ring
    • Always replace
    • Present depending on the date of manufacture
    • For connecting the hydraulic pulse memory
  15. Hydraulic Pulse Memory / Transmission Fluid Auxiliary Hydraulic Pump
  16. Bolt
    • 8 Nm
  17. Magnets
    • Make sure the entire surface contacts the ATF filter
    • Clean before installation
  18. Bolt
    • Tightening specification and sequence. Refer to Fig 2.
    • Always replace
  19. Drain Plug
    • Tightening specification. Refer to the appropriate Service Information. .
    • For the ATF in the transmission

-- Tighten the bolts in three steps in the sequence shown:

Step Bolts Tightening Specification/Additional Turn
1. -1 to 12- Install the new bolts by hand until the bolt heads touch
2. -1 to 12- 4 Nm
3. -1 to 12- 45° additional turn
