CAUTION:
The system is under pressure.
- Deactivate the ATF pump and drain the hydraulic pressure reservoir before removal.
-- Using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester, empty the ATF pressure reservoir in the Transmission Control Module -J217- and disable the Transmission Fluid Auxiliary Hydraulic Pump -V552-. Refer to ATF PUMP, DEACTIVATING AND DRAINING THE HYDRAULIC PUMP RESERVOIR .

Contamination damages the Mechatronic.
- Pay attention to absolute cleanliness when working on hydraulic control.
- Even a small amount of debris can lead to system malfunctions.
- Remove the replacement parts from their packaging just prior to installing them.
- Protect open oil channels from debris.
