Brake Caliper Piston, Removing And Installing, Four-Piston Brake: Installing

- Install the entire repair kit.
- Only use mineral spirits to clean the brakes.
- When a brake caliper piston or a piston cylinder are damaged, the brake caliper must be replaced.
-- Clean the surface of the brake caliper piston only with mineral spirits and let it dry.
-- Insert the seal into the brake caliper and check for correct seating.
-- Place the protective cap -4- on the brake caliper piston -3-.
- The protective cap must sit correctly in the groove -arrow-.
-- Without tilting it, push the brake caliper piston -3- into the brake caliper -1- using constant pressure.
-- Insert the Piston Resetting Tool -T10145- and the Thrust Piece:T40325 into the brake caliper.
-- Slowly push the protective cap -1- in using the Piston Resetting Tool -T10145- and Thrust Piece:T40325 .
- The protective cap must fit tightly in the groove. If necessary, push down on it slightly with the Piston Resetting Tool -T10145-.
-- Repeat the work procedure on the next brake caliper piston.
