Brake Master Cylinder, Removing And Installing, With Electromechanical Brake Master Cylinder: Removing

-- Remove the plenum chamber bulkhead. Refer to PLENUM CHAMBER BULKHEAD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the brake fluid reservoir. Refer to BRAKE FLUID RESERVOIR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- To prevent brake fluid from escaping, place enough lint-free cloths in the area under the brake master cylinder.

-- Remove the union bolts -arrows- for the brake lines and remove the brake lines from the brake master cylinder.

-- Immediately close the open connection points with a clean plug from the Repair Kit:1H0 698 311 A  or Assembly Part Kit:5Q0 698 311  .

-- Remove the bolts -1 and 2-.

-- Disconnect and remove the brake master cylinder -3- from the brake booster.
