Engine Temperature Control Temperature Sensor -G694- , REMOVING AND INSTALLING, 3.0L ENGINE
Procedure
Preliminary work may be required depending on the model. Refer to ENGINE TEMPERATURE CONTROL TEMPERATURE SENSOR -G694-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- The Engine Is Cold.
-- To reduce the residual pressure in the cooling system, briefly open the coolant expansion tank cap -1- by releasing the retainer -arrow- .
-- Reinstall the cap until it engages.
-- Remove the oil filter housing. Refer to OIL FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Disconnect the connector -1- .
-- Place a cloth underneath to catch any escaping coolant.
-- Remove the bolt -2- and remove the Engine Temperature Control Sensor -G694- .
- Replace the O-ring after removing.
-- Insert the new engine coolant temperature sensor immediately so that as little coolant is lost as possible.
-- Install the oil filter housing. Refer to OIL FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Fill with coolant. Refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING / COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING .

Tightening Specifications
