Brake Pad Wear Indicator Wire, Removing And Installing: Installing
- Check the brake pad wear indicator contact for damage and replace if necessary.
- Make sure that the brake pad wear indicator contact fits correctly in the brake pad.
- If the clips go missing, the brake pad wear indicator wire must be replaced.
-- Insert the brake pad wear indicator contact -2- with the clip -1- into the inner brake pad until it engages.
-- Secure the brake pad wear indicator wire with the protective cap -3- and the clip -4-.
-- Bring the connector -1- into its installation position and turn in the direction of -arrow- until the tab -3- engages in the hole -4- on the bracket.
-- Connect the connector -2-.
NOTE:
Make sure that the wire is routed correctly.
Make sure the wire is not blocked, bent, or rubbing against the vehicle.
