1. Brake Shield
   • BRAKE SHIELD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING 
2. Wheel Bearing Housing
3. Bracket
   • For brake hose
4. Bolt
   • Clean bolts before reusing
   • Replace damaged bolts
   • Always replace self-locking bolts.
   • 10 Nm
5. Bracket
   • for brake hose
6. Rivet
7. Bracket
   • For the brake line/hose
   • On the body
8. Spring
   • Replace if damaged
9. Brake Line
   • Brake line to brake hose tightening specification: 14 Nm
10. Brake Hose
    • Allocation. Refer to the Parts Information.
    • Make sure the brake hose is routed correctly. Make sure the brake hose is not blocked, bent, twisted or rubbing against the vehicle.
    • Replace if damaged
    • Make sure that tabs are properly seated in the grooves on the bracket.
    • Brake hose to brake caliper tightening specification. Refer to Fig 3.
11. Bolt
    • Clean bolts before reusing
    • Replace damaged bolts
    • Always replace self-locking bolts.
    • 196 Nm
12. Brake Pads
    • Checking pad thickness and wear limit. Refer to BRAKE PADS, CHECKING THICKNESS .
    • Always replace on both sides of the axle
    • Allocation. Refer to the Parts Information.
    • BRAKE PADS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING 
    • Installation position. Refer to Fig 4.

      When changing the brake pad, check the brake rotor for wear and damage.

13. Brake Pad Retaining Plate
    • Replace when replacing the pads
    • Check for proper seating
14. Brake Pad Spring
    • Replace when replacing the pads
    • Check for proper seating
15. Brake Pad Wear Indicator Wire
    • with
      • Left Front Brake Pad Wear Sensor -G34-
      • Right Front Brake Pad Wear Sensor -G35-
    • For inner brake pad
    • Replace when replacing the brake pads.
    • Refer to BRAKE PAD WEAR INDICATOR WIRE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING 
16. Cap
17. Bleed Screw
    • HYDRAULIC SYSTEM, BLEEDING
    • Before installing, lightly coat with Lithium Grease: G 052 150 A2 
    • 18 Nm
18. Brake Caliper
    • Allocation. Refer to the Parts Information.
    • Do not loosen the brake caliper/brake carrier threaded connection. Refer to Fig 2.
    • Refer to BRAKE CALIPER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING 
    • Refer to BRAKE CALIPER, REPLACING 
    • Refer to BRAKE PISTON, REMOVING AND INSTALLING
19. Brake Pad Retaining Plate
    • Replace when replacing the pads
    • Check for proper seating
20. Bolt
    • Clean bolts before reusing
    • Replace damaged bolts
    • Always replace self-locking bolts.
    • 10 Nm
21. Brake Rotor
    • Allocation. Refer to the Parts Information.
    • Always replace on both sides of the axle
    • Do not use excessive force to separate the brake rotor from the wheel hub. Use rust remover, if necessary, otherwise the brake rotor could be damaged.
    • Refer to BRAKE ROTOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING 

      When changing the brake pad, always check the brake rotor wear limit.

22. Bolt
    • Clean bolts before reusing
    • Replace damaged bolts
    • Always replace self-locking bolts.
    • 10 Nm

Do not loosen the caliper/brake carrier bolted connections.

Tightening Specification - Brake Hose to Brake Caliper

• Version -A- without union bolt: tighten the brake hose -2- to 20 Nm.
• Version -B- with union bolt, tighten the brake hose -1- to 14 Nm.

-- Pay attention to the labeling -2- on the brake pads.

• LEFT OUTER
• LEFT INNER
• RIGHT OUTER
• RIGHT INNER

• When installed, the arrow -1- on the brake pad backing plate must point upward.
