Latch, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the rear lid lower trim panel and the latch cover. Refer to REAR LID LOWER TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Turn the operating cable on the lever -6- 90° in direction of -arrow A-.

-- At the same time, remove the operating cable -6- from the cable bracket -5-.

-- Using a screwdriver -1-, secure the operating lever -8- on the opposite side in direction of -arrow B-.

-- Disengage the release cable nipple -7- on the operating lever in direction of -arrow C-.

-- Release and disconnect the connector -3-.

-- Remove the nuts -2 and 4-.

-- Remove the latch -5-.
