Cigarette Lighter -U1- /12 V Socket -U5-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Removing

-- Remove the center console cover. Refer to CENTER CONSOLE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Free up and disconnect the connector.

-- The release tabs -2- on the : T40148  must engage in the openings on the cigarette lighter -3- in direction of -arrow-. To do so, the threaded rod -1- must be slid all the way down.

-- Insert the : T40148  into the socket -1- until it stops.

-- Turn the thumbwheel -2- on the : T40148  clockwise all the way to the end stop.

• The piston -2- is pulled upward and the release tabs -1- on the : T40148  spread in direction of -arrows-.

-- Remove the cigarette lighter using the : T40148  from the illumination ring with the Cigarette Lighter Illumination Bulb -L28-.

-- Guide the wire out through the mount.
