Overview - Telephone, AUDI Phone Box/AUDI Connect, 9ZE/El3

The Mobile Device Charger 1 -J1146- (Audi phone box) is installed in the front center console storage compartment. It can be operated using the MMI Infotainment system or by the Cellular Telephone -R54-.

The microphones for the Microphone Unit In Front Roof Module -R164- are integrated in the Front Roof Module -WX3-. One microphone (Left Front Microphone -R140-) is connected directly to the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794-. For IW1/IW3 through the Control Module for Emergency Call Module and Communication Unit -J949-.

The LTE Antenna 3 -R330- located behind the rear bumper cover on the right side is used to connect to the cellular network.

The antenna connection is located on the Cellular Telephone Amplifier -R86- in the luggage compartment on the right rear side.

For data transfer, two additional LTE antennas are installed (LTE Antenna 1 -R297- /LTE Antenna 2 -R306-) and are connected to the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794-.

• The LTE Antenna 3 -R330- for the telephone function is installed behind the rear bumper cover on the right side.
• The LTE Antenna 1 - R297- is installed in the Roof Antenna - R216-, without connect PLUS (IV0).
• The LTE Antenna 1 -R297- is installed behind the rear bumper cover in the center, with connect PLUS (IV1 through IV8)
• The LTE Antenna 2 - R306- is installed behind the rear bumper cover on the left side, without connect PLUS (IV0).
• The LTE Antenna 2 -R306- is installed behind the left rear side window, with connect PLUS (IV1 through IV8).

Fault Finding is performed using the "Guided Fault Finding"  on the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
