General Information - External Multimedia Devices

There are several versions of the connection for external multimedia devices:

USB Distributor -R293- in the front center console storage compartment, USB port quantity: 2, SIM card (optional), SD card, UF7
USB Distributor -R293- in the front center console storage compartment, USB port quantity: 2, SIM card (optional), SD card and USB Connection 1 -U41- in the rear center console storage compartment, USB port quantity: 2, UF8
Optional for all versions: ASI (Audi Smartphone Interface), IU1

The external multimedia device connection is a component of the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794-.

The connections -1- are located in the front center console storage compartment.

Various external devices can be connected and charged via the USB connections.

Suitable adapter cables are needed. Refer to the Owner's Manual.

Fault Finding is performed using the "Guided Fault Finding" on the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

The connections -1- are located in the rear center console trim.

Various external devices can be connected and charged via the USB connections.
