Radiator, Removing And Installing: Removing
-- Remove the front noise insulation. Refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .
-- Remove the headlamp housing with mount. Refer to HEADLAMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the impact member. Refer to BUMPER CARRIER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Place the Shop Crane - Drip Tray: VAS6208 underneath.
-- Lift the clamp -3- and remove the lower right coolant hose from the radiator and drain the coolant.
-- Disconnect the connector -1-.
There is a risk of injury if the radiator fan turns on by itself.
- When working near the radiator, maintain a distance from the fan.
-- Disconnect the connectors -1 and 2- for the radiator fan.
-- Release the left and right catches with the Elbow Assembly Tool: T10118 in direction of -arrows- and remove the upper air ducts -1- and side air ducts -2-. (Shown with the radiator removed).
-- Remove the side air ducts -1 and 2-.
-- Lift the clamps -1 and 2-, and remove and free up the connection from the radiator.
-- Release the left and right catches in direction of -arrows- and remove the retaining pin -1- for the radiator upward.
-- Disconnect the connector -2- for the High Pressure Sensor -G65-.
Risk of damaging the refrigerant lines and hoses by removing and pivoting the condenser.
- Do not bend, twist or stretch the refrigerant lines and hoses.
-- Carefully release the left and right catches -arrows-.
Risk of damaging the retainers due to improper handling.
- Carefully release the retainers.
-- Disengage the condenser -1- on the radiator and tie it up to the side.
-- Remove the left and right bolts -arrows-.
-- Remove the radiator.
-- Remove the bolt -arrow- on the left and right.
-- Press the fan shroud left and right locking tabs at the same time in direction of -arrow- and remove the fan shroud upward from the radiator.
