Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor on Radiator Outlet -G83-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING

Procedure 

-- To reduce the residual pressure in the cooling system, briefly open the coolant expansion tank cap -1- by releasing the retainer in direction of -arrow-.

-- Reinstall the cap until it engages.

-- Remove the front noise insulation. Refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .

-- Remove the right wheel spoiler. Refer to OVERVIEW - FRONT WHEEL HOUSING LINER .

-- Disconnect the connector -2-.

-- Place a cloth underneath to catch any escaping coolant.

-- Remove the bolt -1- and the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor on Radiator Outlet -G83-.

TIP:

If an O-ring remains in the cylinder block, remove the O-ring with a wire.

-- Insert the new engine coolant temperature sensor immediately so that as little coolant is lost as possible.

-- Install the front noise insulation. Refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .

-- Install the right wheel spoiler. Refer to OVERVIEW - FRONT WHEEL HOUSING LINER .

-- Check the coolant level. Refer to Coolant Level, Checking .

Tightening Specifications
