Brake Pad Wear Indicator Wire, Removing And Installing: Installing

NOTE:

Check the brake pad wear indicator contact for damage and replace if necessary.

Make sure that the brake pad wear indicator contact fits correctly in the brake pad.

-- Insert the contact -4- for the brake pad wear indicator with the clip -3- until it engages in the inner brake pad.

NOTE:

If the clips -3- go missing, the brake pad wear indicator wire must be replaced. Refer to the Parts Information

-- Secure the brake pad wear indicator wire with the dust cap -2- and the clips -1 and 5-.

-- Bring the connector -1- into its installation position and turn in the direction of the -arrow- until the tab -3- engages in the hole -4- on the bracket.

-- Connect the connector -2-.

NOTE:

Make sure that the wire is routed correctly.

Make sure the wire is not blocked, bent, or rubbing against the vehicle.
