- Brake Line
- Brake line to brake hose tightening specification: 14 NmCAUTION:
Do not bend the brake line; a damaged brake line must be replaced.
- Brake line to brake hose tightening specification: 14 Nm
- Brake Hose
- Tightening specification: brake hose to brake caliper. Refer to Figure.
- Replace if damaged
- Allocation. Refer to the Parts Information.
- Make sure the brake hose is routed correctly. Make sure the brake hose is not blocked, bent, twisted or rubbing against the vehicle.
- Make sure that tabs are properly seated in the grooves on the bracket.CAUTION:
Do not damage the brake hose; a damaged brake hose must be replaced.

- 196 Nm
- Always replace self-locking bolts.
- Replace damaged bolts.
- Clean bolts before reusing.
- 196 Nm
- Brake Pads
- Always replace on both axles.
- Interior brake pad in the brake caliper with brake pad wear sensor
- Checking pad thickness. Refer to 413 for the wear limit.
- Allocation. Refer to the Parts Information.
- Removing and Installing. Refer to BRAKE PADS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, CERAMIC BRAKES
- Brake Pad Retaining Plate
- Replace when pads are replaced.
- Check for proper seating
- Brake Pad Wear Indicator Wire
- With:
- Left Front Brake Pad Wear Sensor -G34-
- Right Front Brake Pad Wear Sensor -G35-
- For inner brake pad
- Replace when replacing the brake pads.
- Refer to BRAKE PAD WEAR INDICATOR WIRE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING
- With:
- Protective Cap
- Bleed Screw
- 20 Nm
- Refer to HYDRAULIC SYSTEM, BLEEDING
- Before installing, thinly coat with Assembly Paste: G 052 150 A2 .
- Brake Pad Spring
- Always replace a damaged spring
- Note the installation position
- Brake Pad Spring
- Always replace a damaged spring

- Brake Caliper
- Bolt
- 10 Nm
- Clean bolts before reusing.
- Always replace self-locking bolts.
- Replace damaged bolts.
- 10 Nm
- Brake Rotor
- Brake Rotor Thickness. Refer to CERAMIC BRAKE ROTOR, DETERMINING WEAR .
- Additionally check for:
- Cracks in connection area. Refer to CRACKS IN CERAMIC BRAKE ROTOR CONNECTION AREA .
- Chamfer. Refer to CHAMFER .
- Nicks. Refer to NICKS ON CERAMIC BRAKE ROTOR .
- Crack in cooling channel. Refer to CRACK IN COOLING CHANNEL .
- Do not use excessive force to separate the brake rotor from the wheel hub. Use rust remover, if necessary, otherwise the brake rotor could be damaged.
- Allocation. Refer to the Parts Information.
- Refer to BRAKE ROTOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, CERAMIC BRAKES WARNING:
Risk of accident due to insufficient braking effect.
If a brake rotor is damaged or worn, check the other brake rotors for damage and wear.
- Bolt
- 10 Nm
- Always replace self-locking bolts.
- Replace damaged bolts.
- Clean bolts before reusing.
- 10 Nm
Do Not Loosen the Caliper/Brake Carrier Bolted Connections
CAUTION:
There is a risk of malfunctions.
- Do not loosen the bolts -arrows- on the brake caliper.
- The left and right nut -1- must not be loosened.
