Overview - Sound System, Premium Sound System, 9VS, Before Product Improvement
The Premium Sound System consists of the following components:
- Two speakers in the left and right A-pillars
- Two speakers in the left and right front doors
- One speaker on the left and right side of the instrument panel
- Two speakers in the center of the instrument panel
- One speaker in the left and right B-pillars
- One loud speaker in the left and right rear doors
- One speaker in the right and left rear of the roof
- Subwoofer -R211- in the luggage compartment
- Center Speaker -R208- in the Center Instrument Panel
- Digital Sound System Control Module -J525- in the luggage compartment or behind the left rear bench seat on the crossmember
- Digital Sound System Control Module -J525- in the Luggage Compartment or behind the Rear Bench Seat to the Left on the Crossmember
- Left Front Treble Speaker -R20- /Right Front Treble Speaker -R22- at the Top of the A-pillars, at Height of the Exterior Rearview Mirror
- Left Front Midrange Speaker -R103- /Right Front Midrange Speaker -R104- in the Front Doors
- Left Front Speaker -R2- /Right Front Speaker -R3- in the Instrument Panel on the Left and Right Sides
- Left Rear Treble Speaker -R14- /Right Rear Treble Speaker -R16- Inside the B-Pillars
- Left Rear Bass Speaker -R15- /Right Rear Bass Speaker -R17- at Bottom of the Rear Doors
- Left Front Bass Speaker -R21- /Right Front Bass Speaker -R23- in the Lower Front Doors

- MOST Bus
Fault Finding is performed using the"Guided Fault Finding" on the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
Notes on MOST Bus
The optical data Bus "MOST Bus" is used in addition to the CAN Bus.
A fiber-optic cable is used. Fiber optic cables are routed inside corrugated tubes for protection.
Replace the complete fiber-optic cable if possible.
The front surface of the connectors must not be contaminated.
If the connectors are disconnected: connect the Fiber-Optic Repair Set - Connector Protective Caps :VAS6223/9 from the Fiber-Optic Repair Set :VAS6223A .
When routing fiber-optic cables, make sure not to go below the minimum bending radius of 25 mm. Do not crush or kink fiber optic cables.
