External Multimedia Device Connection, Removing And Installing: Notes

The external multimedia device connection -1- is located in the front center console storage compartment.

If the USB Distributor -R293- is being replaced, the following procedure applies:

-- Connecting and switching on the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

-- Switch the ignition on.

-- Select and start the Diagnostic operating mode.

-- Select the Test plan tab.

-- Select the Select individual test button and select the following tree structure consecutively:

Electrical system
01 - OBD-capable systems
005F - Information Electronics Control Module 1 - J794 (MIB 2+) or 005F - Information Electronics Control Module 1 - J794 (MIB 3)
005F - Information Electronics Control Module 1, functions
0743 - USB Distributor -R293-, replacing or 0743 - Media Jack, -R293-, replacing

-- Start the selected program and follow the instructions on the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester display.
