Muffler, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Disconnect the left and right connector -2- for the exhaust door control unit -1-.
-- Remove the rear tunnel brace. Refer to TUNNEL BRACE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
CAUTION:
Risk of accident due to the heavy weight of the muffler.
- A second technician is required for the following work steps.
-- Loosen the front clamping sleeves -1- and push it rearward.
-- Slightly lower the front muffler and remove the clamping sleeves.
-- Disengage the retaining loops -arrows-.
-- Remove the bolts -3-.
-- Remove the muffler unit -5- at the same time guide it out of the trim for the tail pipe -2 and 4-.
