Crankshaft, Removing And Installing: Installing

Replace bolts that were tightened with an additional turn after removing them.
Lock the gear backlash for the drive axle with the Adjusting Pin: T40362 .

-- Note the allocation:

Bearing Cap. Refer to Figure.
Bearing Shells. Refer to MAIN BEARING SHELLS ALLOCATION .

-- Coat the contact surface of the bearing shells with engine oil.

-- Bring the crankshaft into the installation position, at the same time the crankshaft splines must engage in the crankshaft splines for the drive axle.

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

-- Install the oil pump. Refer to OIL PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the belt pulley side sealing flange. Refer to SEALING FLANGE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, BELT PULLEY SIDE .

-- Install the pistons. Refer to PISTONS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
