Engine Temperature Control Temperature Sensor -G694-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, 2.9L ENGINE
Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Socket: T10405
- Straight needle nose pliers, long version, commercially available
- 45° angled needle nose pliers, long version, commercially available
Procedure
Preliminary work may be required depending on the model. Refer to Engine Temperature Control Sensor -G694-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Drain the coolant. Refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING .
-- Remove the engine cover and heat shield. Refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the bolts -1 and 2-, remove the coolant pipes from the turbochargers and push to the side.
-- Remove the bolt -2-.
-- Remove the Engine Temperature Control Sensor -G694- and disconnect the connector -1- using needle nose pliers.
- Replace the O-ring after removal.
-- Insert the engine coolant temperature sensor using needle nose pliers.
-- Install the right rear large coolant pipe. Refer to COOLANT PIPES, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Install the heat shield and engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
