Camshaft Timing Chain, Removing From Camshafts, Cylinder Bank 2 (Left): Notes

For the following procedure the camshaft timing chain remains on the engine.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Electronic Torque Wrench 3-60Nm: VAS6583
- Locking Pins: T03006
- Crankshaft Locking Pin: T40069 (with the engine removed)
- Wrench - 21mm: T40263
- Camshaft Lock: T40264/3
- Adapter: T40314
- Camshaft Positioning Tool: T40331 , not illustrated
- Socket E24: T90000 , not illustrated
- Counterholder: T90001 , not illustrated
- Counterholder: T90002 , not illustrated
- Socket : VAS261001 , not illustrated
- Hazet 6423C (commercially available), not illustrated
Camshaft Locking Device: T40331 , Preparing
- The lettering "B" on the Camshaft Positioning Tool: T40331/1 points forward.
- The Camshaft Positioning Tool: T40331/5 and : T40331/6 as well as the washers on the bolts : T40331/9 must be positioned using the alignment pins -arrows-.
-- Tighten the bolts hand-tight.
