RECIRCULATION Valve, Removing And Installing

Recirculation Valve, Bank 1 -N625-, removing 

-- Audi A8: remove the upper air duct pipe. Refer to UPPER AIR DUCT PIPE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, AUDI A8 .

-- Audi S8: remove the right upper air duct pipe. Refer to UPPER AIR DUCT PIPE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, AUDI S8 .

-- Remove the crankcase ventilation hose -1- by pressing the release buttons on both sides.

-- Disconnect the connector -2-.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-, remove the heat shield -3- with the recirculation valve -4-.

TIP:

- If the distance between the recirculation valve and the engine lifting eye is too narrow to position the tool, then the turbocharger must be removed.

-- Remove the left turbocharger. Refer to TURBOCHARGER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, CYLINDER BANK 2 (LEFT) .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-, remove the heat shield -1- with the recirculation valve -2-.

Installing 

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

• Replace the O-ring after removal.

-- Install the upper air duct pipe. Refer to AIR DUCT PIPE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Tightening Specifications 

• Refer to OVERVIEW - TURBOCHARGER .
