Cam Actuator, Removing And Installing, Cylinder Bank 2 (Left): Removing

-- Remove the engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Cylinder 5 Exhaust Camshaft Adjuster 1 -F466- :

-- Press the release buttons on both sides and remove the hose -3- for the crankcase ventilation.

-- Free up the lines -1- for the EVAP system and push it slightly to the side.

-- Disconnect the connector -2- for the Cylinder 5 Exhaust Cam Actuator 1 -F466-.

Cylinder 8 Exhaust Camshaft Adjuster 1 -F478- :

-- Disconnect the connector -4- for the Cylinder 8 Exhaust Cam Actuator 1 -F478-.

Cylinder 5 Intake Cam Actuator 1 -F464- :

-- Release the catch in direction of -arrow- and remove the vacuum hose -1- at the same time do not damage it.

-- Move the vacuum hose to the side.

-- Disconnect the connectors:

For the Cylinder 5 Intake Cam Actuator 1 -F464-

For the Ignition Coil 5 with Power Output Stage -N323-

-- Free up the wire -2- for the EVAP system and push it slightly upward.

Cylinder 8 Intake Camshaft Adjuster 1 -F476-

-- Disconnect the electrical connectors -2- and free them up.

-- Release the catches -arrows- and move the Engine/Motor Control Module -J623- -3- to the side.

-- Remove the connector -arrow- from the bracket and disconnect it.

-- Free up the wiring harness and set near the engine.

-- Press the release buttons on both sides and remove the hose -1- for the crankcase ventilation.

-- Disconnect the connectors:

For the Ignition Coil 7 with Power Output Stage -N325- /Ignition Coil 8 with Power Output Stage -N326-

For the Cylinder 8 Intake Camshaft Adjuster 1 -F476-

For the Camshaft Position Sensor 2 -G163-

-- Remove the nuts -arrows- and push the bracket with the wiring harness slightly to the side.
