Front Three-Point Seat Belt, Removing And Installing: Removing
-- Pay attention to the safety precautions when working with pyrotechnic components. Refer to SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .
-- Switch off the ignition and place the ignition key outside of the vehicle and wait 10 seconds before working on the airbag system.
-- Move the front seat all the way forward and up.
-- Remove the B-pillar lower trim panel. Refer to B-PILLAR LOWER TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the front belt end fitting. Refer to FRONT BELT END FITTING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the B-pillar upper trim panel and guide the seat belt out. Refer to B-PILLAR UPPER TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the front seat belt guide. Refer to FRONT SEAT BELT GUIDE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the screw -1-.
-- Remove the seat belt relay -2- with the seat belt.
Vehicles without an Electric Seat Belt Tensioner:
Pyrotechnical components can deploy unintentionally.
There is a risk of injury.
- Discharge static electricity by briefly touching the door striker.
-- Pull the connector lock out, then disconnect the connectors -1 and 2- for the seat belt tensioner igniter and seat belt force limiter.
-- Remove the bolt -arrow- and then remove the seat belt -3- from the mount.
Vehicles with an Electric Belt Tensioner:
Pyrotechnical components can deploy unintentionally.
There is a risk of injury.
- Discharge static electricity by briefly touching the door striker.
-- Pull the connector lock -1- out, then disconnect the connector from the seat belt tensioner igniter.
-- Push the release to disconnect the seat belt tensioner control module connector -2-.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and then remove the seat belt -4- from the mount.
-- Disconnect the connector -3- for the seat belt force limiter to do so remove the connector lock.
