Rear wheel brake with automatic adjustment
WARNING:
- Always install all parts included in repair kit.
- Brakes can be tested on any commercially available brake dynamometer provided the drive roller speed does not exceed 5.5 km/h (3.3 mph).
- Before checking the brakes on a dynamometer, make sure the differential lock is switched off.
- Self-locking bolt
- Always replace
- 35 Nm (20 ft lb)
- When loosening and tightening, hold guide bolt
- Brake pads
- Replace in pairs
- Thickness (new): 12 mm (0.47 in.)
- Wear limit: 2 mm (0.08 in.)
- When pad thickness including backing plate is down to 7 mm (0.28 in.), brake pads have reached their wear limit and should be replaced
- Brake carrier with guide bolts and protective caps
- Is supplied as replacement part, assemble with sufficient grease on guide bolts
- If protective caps have been damaged, install repair kit

- Use grease pad provided in repair kit to lubricate guide pins
- Mounting bolt
- 65 Nm (48 ft lb)
- Brake disc
- Replace in pairs
- Remove brake caliper first
- Resurface uniformly on both sides when necessary, starting from thickness when new; make sure that thickness of resurfaced disc is sufficiently above wear limit
- Diameter: 245 mm (9.65 in.)
- Thickness: 10 mm (0.39 in.)
- Wear limit: 8 mm (0.31 in.)
- Brake caliper housing
- Remove from brake pad carrier to replace brake pads
- Do not disconnect brake hose when replacing brake pads
