Pedal Assembly: Notes
CAUTION:
The brake pedal stroke must not be restricted by extra carpets or floor mats.
NOTE:
Before installation, coat all contact points with white Lubricating grease:G 052 142 A2 , or equivalent.
- Self-locking nut
- Always replace
- 25 Nm (18 ft lb)
- Pedal bracket
- Do not remove to remove clutch pedal
- Hydraulic hose
- Route appropriately on pedal bracket and fasten with clip
- Cable clip
- Install on hydraulic hose and then install in pedal bracket
- Circlip
- Always replace
- Over-center spring
- Do not lubricate
- Lubricate only contact points on pedal and pedal bracket
- Removing and installing Over-Center Spring, Removing and Installing
- Install on pivot pin of pedal bracket and clutch pedal
- Route hydraulic hose to master cylinder so that it does not rub on over-center spring
- Note different versions
- Can be removed and installed with pedal bracket installed
- Circlip
- Always replace
- Install on pedal bracket shaft
- Circlip
- Always replace
- Cylinder bolt
- 20 Nm (15 ft lb)
- Fastens slave cylinder on pedal bracket
- Clutch pedal
- Located by adjustment of clevis
- Install on pedal bracket shaft
- Supplied as replacement part with injection-molded bushing (bushing cannot be replaced)
- Can be replaced with pedal bracket installed
- Pad for pedal
- Can be replaced if necessary
- Brake pedal return spring
- Install with the long shank in pedal bracket and with short shank in brake pedal
- Circlip
- Always replace
- Install on pedal bracket shaft
- Brake pedal
- Install on pedal bracket shaft
- Supplied as replacement part with injection-molded bushing (bushing cannot be replaced)
- Remove to remove and install pedal bracket
- Pad for pedal
- Can be replaced if necessary
- Brake light switch -F-
Adjusting:
-- Operate brake pedal.
-- Press brake light switch in to stop.
-- Pull brake pedal out by hand to stop.
- Clip for brake light switch
- Install in pedal bracket
- Washer
