Turbocharger, Removing And Installing, Vehicles With Generator: Removing

-- Remove the front muffler bolts -arrows-.

-- Vehicle without gas fuel systems: loosen the threaded connections -arrows- and push the clamping sleeve toward the rear.

-- Vehicles with gas fuel systems: loosen the clamp -arrow- and remove the front exhaust pipe from the front muffler.

CAUTION:

Risk of damaging couplings.

Couplings must not be bent more than 10°.

-- Slightly lower the front muffler/front exhaust pipe -2- and secure as shown with a cable tie -1-.

-- Remove the nut -2- from below.

-- Remove the engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER .

-- Remove the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the nuts -1- from above, and push the catalytic converter toward the rear.
