Brake Caliper, Replacing, 1LJ, 1LL, 1ZA And 1ZC: Notes

Special tools and workshop equipment required

Torque Wrench 1332 40-200Nm :VAG1332
Torque Wrench 1410 :VAG1410
Brake Pedal Actuator :VAG1869/2 .
Bleeder bottle from the Brake Charger/Bleeder Unit :VAS5234
M10 plug or M12 from the Assembly Part Set :5Q0 698 311

NOTE:

Clean bolts before reusing.

Replace damaged bolts.

Always replace self-locking bolts.

Coat the brake pad guides in the brake caliper with Lithium Grease :G 052 150 A2 .

Do not lubricate the seals for brake pistons and rubber components.

NOTE:

The brake caliper is removed and disconnected from the hydraulic system in the following description. The brake hose is removed.
