Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor -G62-, Removing And Installing: Procedure

Depending on the model, preliminary work may be required. Refer to COOLANT PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- To reduce the residual pressure in the cooling system, briefly open the coolant expansion tank cap -1- by releasing the retainer in direction of -arrow-.

-- If not already removed during preliminary work, remove the engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Disconnect the connector -1-.

NOTE:

Place a cloth underneath to catch any escaping coolant.

To prevent coolant loss, immediately insert the new Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor -G62- in the connection.

Replace the O-rings after removing them.

-- Remove the bolts -2- and remove the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor -G62- -3-.

Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:

-- Check the coolant level. Refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING .

-- Install the engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

There are additional procedures depending on the model. Refer to COOLANT PUMP/COOLANT THERMOSTAT .
