- Intermediate Sprocket
- The intermediate sprocket must be replaced if the bolt -item ) OVERVIEW - BALANCE SHAFT DRIVE CHAIN - List Item: Bolt is loosened.
- Thrust Washer

- Tightening Specifications and Sequence. Refer to Fig 3.
- Always replace after removing.
- The intermediate sprocket -item ) OVERVIEW - BALANCE SHAFT DRIVE CHAIN - List Item: Intermediate Sprocket must be replaced if the bolt is loosened.

- Always replace in pairs. Refer to BALANCE SHAFT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, EXHAUST SIDE .
- Intake side
- Lubricate the bearing with engine oil
- Three Stage Chain Sprocket
- Installation position. Refer to Figure.
- Balance Shaft Drive Chain
- Removing and installing. Refer to CAMSHAFT TIMING CHAIN, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Mounting Pins - Installation Position
- Replace and lubricate the O-ring -1-.
- The alignment pin -arrow- for the bearing pins must engage in the hole in the cylinder block.
- Lubricate the bearing pins
Intermediate Sprocket - Tightening Specifications and Sequence
CAUTION:
Risk of damaging the engine due to an incorrect backlash.
- The intermediate sprocket must always be replaced, otherwise the backlash will incorrectly adjust itself.
- Replace the bolts that were tightened with an additional turn after removing them.
-- Tighten the bolt -1- in steps:
