Front Muffler, Removing And Installing, Vehicles With Natural Gas Fuel Systems: Removing

-- Remove the tunnel brace. Refer to UNDERBODY TRIM PANEL .

WARNING:

There is a risk of accident due to the weight of the muffler.

A second technician is required to remove the front muffler.

-- Loosen the lock washer -4-.

-- Loosen the clamping sleeve -2- and slide it toward the rear.

-- Disengage the mounting -1- from the exhaust system.

-- Remove the front muffler -3- from the front exhaust pipe.
