Camshaft Timing Chain, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Replace the seal after removal.

-- Position the camshaft timing chains on the camshafts. Refer to CAMSHAFT TIMING CHAIN, REMOVING FROM CAMSHAFTS .

-- Install the lower timing chain cover. Refer to LOWER TIMING CHAIN COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- If changes on the timing chain make place or components should be replaced, perform the corresponding adaptations in the Guided Functions "0001 - Engine electronics, functions". Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester .
