Muffler, Removing And Installing, Vehicles With Catalytic Converter: Removing

- Wear safety gloves during the entire procedure.
-- Loosen the front clamping sleeve -arrows- and push toward the rear.
-- Slightly lower the front muffler and remove the clamping sleeve.
CAUTION:
Risk of accident due to the heavy weight of the muffler.
- A second technician is required for the following work steps.
-- Disengage the retaining loop -3 and 4-.
-- Remove the bolt -1 and 2- and the muffler.
