Engine, Securing To Engine And Transmission Holder

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

• Engine and Gearbox Bracket: VAS6095A

• Engine/Transmission Holder - Universal Mounting: VAS6095/1  and V6 TFSI Engine Bracket: VAS6095/1-15

• Engine lifted with the workshop crane. Refer to ENGINE, REMOVING FROM SCISSOR LIFT TABLE .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and the left engine support -1-.

If the chain drive on the connection should be worked on:

-- Remove the vacuum hose -2- at the same time to not damage it.

-- Free up the wiring harness -3-.

-- Remove the nuts -4- and bolt -5-.

-- Remove the vacuum reservoir -1-.

-- Remove the plug -1- for "TDC" hole and remove the bracket -2-.

-- Remove the ground wire nut -arrow-.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the right engine support -1-.

-- Remove the starter. Refer to STARTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Secure the engine to the Engine And Transmission Holder: VAS6095A  using the Engine/Transmission Holder - Universal Mounting: VAS6095/1  and Bracket For 3.0L TFSI: VAS6095/1-15  and tighten to 40 Nm.
