Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor -G62-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING

Procedure 

-- Remove the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Vehicles with a Particulate Filter:

-- Remove the particulate filter. Refer to PARTICULATE FILTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Vehicles with Secondary Air System:

-- Free up the wires at the heat shield -1-.

-- If installed, remove the bolts and nuts -arrows- for the coolant line bracket.

-- Remove the remaining nuts -arrows- and bolt 2, push the heat shield upward slightly. (Shown with the particulate filter removed).

Vehicles with High-Voltage System:

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and push the rear coolant pipes with the attached coolant hoses -1 and 2- to the side.
