Electric Drive Power And Control Electronics, Removing And Installing: Installing
Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:
-- Install the Electric Drive Power and Control Electronics -JX1-.
- The 12 V and the high-voltage connections are not yet connected to the high-voltage component
- The potential equalization cable is installed correctly and is connected to the high-voltage component
-- Perform the potential equalization measurement. Refer to POTENTIAL EQUALIZATION MEASUREMENT .
- Use undiluted coolant additive as a lubricant to assemble the coolant hoses. Refer to the Parts Information.
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
-- If the Electric Drive Power and Control Electronics -JX1- is replaced then the Drive Motor Rotor Position Sensor 1 -G713- must be adapted.
-- Connect the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
-- Select and start the Diagnostic operating mode.
-- Select the Test plan tab.
-- Select the Select individual test button and select the following tree structure consecutively:
- Body
- Electrical system
- 01 - OBD-capable systems
- 51 - Electrical Drive Control Module - J841
- 51 - Electric Drive, Functions
- 51 - Basic Setting
-- Start the selected program and follow the instructions on the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester display.
-- Follow all steps after connecting the battery. Refer to BATTERY .
-- Fill with coolant. Refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING, VEHICLE WITH HIGH-VOLTAGE SYSTEM, HIGH-VOLTAGE SYSTEM COOLANT CIRCUIT .
There is a risk of fatal injury due to high voltage.
Electrocution by direct contact or electric arc can cause severe bodily injury or fatal injury.
- Have an Audi high-voltage technician or an Audi high-voltage expert bring the high-voltage system back into service.
-- Re-energize the high-voltage system. Refer to HIGH-VOLTAGE SYSTEM, RE-ENERGIZING .
