Upper Timing Chain Covers, Removing And Installing

Cylinder Bank 1 Upper Timing Chain Cover (Right), Removing 

-- Remove the rear noise insulation. Refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .

-- Remove the subframe crossbrace. Refer to SUBFRAME CROSSBRACE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Vehicles without Auxiliary Radiator for Transmission Fluid Cooler: 

-- Remove the right catalytic converter. Refer to CATALYTIC CONVERTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the nuts -4- and push the Transmission Fluid Cooling Pump -V478- -10- with the bracket -3- rearward.

Installing 

Additional procedures:

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

-- Install the subframe crossbrace. Refer to SUBFRAME CROSSBRACE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the rear noise insulation. Refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .

-- Install the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Tightening Specifications 

• Refer to OVERVIEW - ELECTRIC COOLANT PUMP
• Refer to OVERVIEW - COOLANT PIPES
• Refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .
