Oil Pump, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

-- Make sure both alignment bushings for centering in the oil pump are installed.

-- Before installing check the screen -item 26- If large quantities of metal shavings or abraded material are found in the engine oil while servicing the engine, the oil passages must be carefully cleaned to prevent subsequent damage. Replace the additional oil spray jet, engine oil cooler and oil filter. => List Item: Oil Screen in the oil pump and the oil channel in the oil pan upper section for debris.

-- Guide the oil pump chain sprocket into the drive chain and install the oil pump.

-- Remove the Fastening device : T40414 and check if the drive chain is correctly positioned on the chain sprocket.

-- Install the oil pan lower section. Refer to OIL PAN LOWER SECTION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
