Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensors -G495- / -G497-, Removing And Installing, 3.0L Engine: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:

NOTE:

Protect the Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor against knocks and impacts. A dropped Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor may not be used again.

-- Coat the exhaust gas temperature sensor thread with hot bolt paste.

The hot bolt paste must not get on the slots on the exhaust gas temperature sensor.

Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 3 -G495- Cylinder Bank 1 (Right) Installation Position:

-- Align the Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 3 -G495- :

Angle -α- = 5°.
