Overview - Charge Air System, 3.0L Engine-Side Version 2: Notes

Air Duct Pipe
Bolt
- Tightening Specifications and Sequence. Refer to Figure.
- Thread cutting
- Position the bolt by hand and tighten it until it finds the old threads. Then tighten the bolt to the specification.

- Position the bolt by hand and tighten it until it finds the old threads. Then tighten the bolt to the specification.
O-Ring
- Not available separately; replace if leaking -item- 5 or damaged
Charge Air Pressure Sensor -G31-
- Removing and Installing. Refer to Charge Air Pressure Sensor -G31-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

- 5 Nm

- Tightening Specifications and Sequence. Refer to Figure.
- Thread cutting
- Position the bolt by hand and tighten it until it finds the old threads. Then tighten the bolt to the specification.
Upper Air Guide Pipe
- Removing and installing. Refer to AIR DUCT PIPE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Bolt
- Tightening Specifications and Sequence. Refer to Figure.
Lower Air Duct Pipe
- Removing and installing. Refer to AIR DUCT PIPE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

- Replace after removing.
Intake Manifold with Crankcase Ventilation Hose
- The crankcase ventilation hose cannot be separated from the intake manifold. Note the information:
  - Crankcase Ventilation Hose on Intake Manifold, Rest of World Vehicles. Refer to Crankcase Ventilation Hose on Intake Manifold, Rest of World Vehicles .
  - Crankcase Ventilation Hose on Intake Manifold, USA Vehicles. Refer to Crankcase Ventilation Hose on Intake Manifold, USA Vehicles .
- Removing and Installing. Refer to INTAKE MANIFOLD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, 3.0L ENGINE, AUDI A8 .

- 9 Nm
Seal
- Replace after removing.
Turbocharger
- Overview. Refer to OVERVIEW - TURBOCHARGER, 3.0L ENGINE .
Intake Air Temperature Sensor -G42- /Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor -G71-
- Removing and Installing. Refer to Intake Air Temperature Sensor -G42- /Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor -G71-, EMOVING AND INSTALLING .

- 5 Nm
O-Ring
- Not available separately; replace if leaking -item- 17 or damaged
Intake Manifold

- Replace after removing.
