Inner Knee Bar, Removing And Installing, Driver Side: Removing

-- Move the steering wheel as far up and backward as possible to be able to use the entire steering column adjustment range.

-- Remove the instrument panel cover on the driver side. Refer to DRIVER SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the glove compartment. Refer to GLOVE COMPARTMENT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the front passenger side decorative trim for the instrument panel. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL DECORATIVE TRIM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the center console insert. Refer to CENTER CONSOLE INSERT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the front storage compartment in the center console. Refer to FRONT CENTER CONSOLE STORAGE COMPARTMENT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the A/C display control head trim. Refer to DISPLAY CONTROL HEAD TRIM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the center and front passenger instrument panel vent. Refer to CENTER VENT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Move the steering wheel as far to the rear and down as possible. Use the full steering column adjustment range for this.

-- Remove the expanding clip -arrow- through the opening in the instrument panel.

-- To do so remove using a threaded stud TORX^® screwdriver -1- and remove the expanding clip -2- for the knee bar.

-- Move the steering wheel as far up and backward as possible to be able to use the entire steering column adjustment range.

-- Remove the knee bar -1- downward out of the instrument panel.
