Rear Brake Shield, Removing And Installing: Installing

NOTE:
Clean bolts before reusing.
Replacing the damaged bolts. Refer to the Parts Information.
Always replace the self-locking bolts. Refer to the Parts Information.
-- Position the brake shield.
-- Install the bolts on the brake shield and tighten them.
-- Install the rear brake rotor. Refer to REAR BRAKE ROTOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Install the brake hose and electrical wire into the bracket on the stub axle carrier.
NOTE:
Pay attention that the brake hose and the wire are clipped in and secured correctly in the combination bracket on the stub axle carrier. So that the brake hose and the wire do not jump out of the bracket by themselves.
WARNING:
Risk of accident!
- With the vehicle stationary, firmly press the brake pedal several times so that the brake pads in the operating condition properly sit in their respective position.
- Make sure the brakes are working correctly before driving the vehicle for the first time.
