Brake Caliper Piston, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove pistons as far as possible from brake caliper

-- Use compressed air to push the piston out of the brake caliper housing

NOTE:

When removing, make sure that the cylinder surface is not damaged.

Place a wooden board into the recess so the piston is not damaged.

-- Carefully pry the protective cap -1- and the seal out of the brake caliper with the : VAS40338 -2- using gentle lever movements, and do not damage the groove for the protective cap in the brake caliper while doing so.
