Auxiliary Battery -A1-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, VH0 AND VH0: Removing

-- Visually inspect and classify the Auxiliary Battery -A1-. Refer to Auxiliary Battery -A1-, VISUAL INSPECTION AND CLASSIFICATION .

-- Disconnect the battery. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING, BATTERY AND AUXILIARY BATTERY, (0K4 + VH0) .

-- Unclip the cap -2- over the "+" terminal -arrow- and remove.

-- Remove the nuts -1 and 3- and remove the battery terminal clamps from the battery terminals.

-- Free up the ground cable -2-.

-- Remove the screws -arrows-.

-- Remove the Auxiliary Battery -A1- with the protective housing -1- upward from the luggage compartment, at the same time remove the pressure equalization hose -3- from the grommet.

If the Auxiliary Battery -A1- is replaced:

-- Remove the pressure equalization hose -1- by pressing the release buttons on both sides.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the protective housing -5-.

-- Remove the nut -3-, the retaining bracket -2- and the Auxiliary Battery -A1- -4-.
