A/C Compressor Flushing

-- Clean the old A/C compressor and note the flushed out quantity of refrigerant oil. Refer to ELECTRICALLY DRIVEN A/C COMPRESSOR, CLEANING .

-- Clean the new A/C compressor and note the flushed out quantity of refrigerant oil. Refer to ELECTRICALLY DRIVEN A/C COMPRESSOR, CLEANING .

CAUTION:

Risk of damaging the A/C compressor due to incorrect refrigerant oil.

- Use refrigerant oil, which corresponds to the specifications of the A/C compressor manufacturer. Refer to the Parts Information.

-- Fill the new A/C compressor with the quantity of fresh refrigerant oil, which corresponds to the quantity that was flushed out of the A/C compressor.

NOTE:

If for example 70 cm³ refrigerant oil is flushed from a faulty A/C compressor (a small quantity of refrigerant oil remains in the A/C compressor and in the A/C Service Station) the in this case fill 70 cm³ refrigerant oil in the new A/C compressor (do not use the refrigerant oil that was flushed out of the replacement compressor as it may have become contaminated while in the A/C Service Station).

If a greater quantity of refrigerant oil (more than approximately 40 cm³ ) has been flushed out, the remaining refrigerant oil can also be added to the evaporator, a refrigerant line or the reservoir/receiver/dryer/inner heat exchanger. -- Assemble, evacuate and fill the refrigerant circuit. Refer to WORKING WITH A/C SERVICE STATION .
