Condenser, Removing And Installing, All Except RS Models: Removing
-- Switch off the ignition.
-- Discharge the refrigerant circuit. Refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT, DISCHARGING WITH A/C SERVICE STATION [R134a] or REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT, DISCHARGING [R1234yf] .
-- Remove the lock carrier cover and front bumper end panel. Refer to LOCK CARRIER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- On vehicles with an electric radiator shutter remove it. Refer to RADIATOR SHUTTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING / OVERVIEW - RADIATOR/RADIATOR FAN .
-- Release the catches -arrow- and remove the air ducts -1 and 3-.
Version 1:
Danger or frostbite due to refrigerant coming out under pressure.
Frostbite on the skin and other parts of the body is possible.
- Wear safety gloves.
- Wear protective eyewear.
- Extract refrigerant and open the refrigerant circuit immediately.
- If more than 10 minutes elapse after extracting the refrigerant and the refrigerant circuit was not opened, extract the refrigerant again. Pressure develops in the refrigerant circuit due to evaporation.
-- Remove the bolt -A-.
-- Remove the refrigerant lines -B and C- from the connections on the condenser.
-- Close open line connections and condenser connections.
Version 2:
Danger or frostbite due to refrigerant coming out under pressure.
Frostbite on the skin and other parts of the body is possible.
- Wear safety gloves.
- Wear protective eyewear.
- Extract refrigerant and open the refrigerant circuit immediately.
- If more than 10 minutes elapse after extracting the refrigerant and the refrigerant circuit was not opened, extract the refrigerant again. Pressure develops in the refrigerant circuit due to evaporation.
-- Remove the bolt -B-.
-- Remove the refrigerant lines -A and C- from the connections on the condenser.
-- Close open line connections and condenser connections.
Continuation For All Versions:
-- Disconnect the connector -2- for the High Pressure Sensor -G65-.
-- Release the left and right catches -arrows- and disengage the condenser -1- from the radiator and remove downward.
