- Humidity Sensor -G355- / Sunlight Photo Sensor -G107-
- There are different versions.
- To check. Refer to Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding" function. Refer to the appropriate Wiring Diagram(s).
- The Humidity Sensor -G355- and Sunlight Photo Sensor -G107- are (depending on vehicle equipment) integrated in the Rain/Light Recognition Sensor -G397-. If faulty, these cannot be replaced separately. Replacing. Refer to RAIN/LIGHT RECOGNITION SENSOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Depending on the model, the Sunlight Photo Sensor -G107- may also be installed in the defroster vent.
- Front Information Display Control Head -J685-
- Multi Media Interface (MMI) Display
- There are different versions and controls, depending on MMI version and vehicle equipment. Refer to Infotainment/MMI Operating Instructions.
- Functions (and various additional heating and A/C system functions) selected on the Front A/C Display Control Head -E87- are shown via the MMI display. Refer to Infotainment/MMI Operating Instructions.
- Front Information Display Control Head Control Module -J523- MMI
- Via the Front Information Display Control Head Control Module -J523- MMI the various functions for the activation of the heating and A/C system are entered and shown on the corresponding display. Refer to the Infotainment/MMI Operating Instructions.NOTE:
The different functions of the heating and A/C system are set in the MMI check if these settings in the MMI are the reason for a concern regarding the regulation of the heating and A/C system or in the heating output. Refer to the Owner's Manual and Owner's Manual "Infotainment/MMI".
- The operation of the parking/auxiliary heater (in the "Car" / "Vehicle" menu) from the Front Information Display Control Head Control Module -J523- MMI and the corresponding display in the display are described in the corresponding Owner's Manual. Refer to Infotainment/MMI Owner's Manual.NOTE:
The additional function of the parking/auxiliary heater and the heating and A/C system depend on the displayed coding of the Front A/C Display Control Head -E87-. If the allocation and coding are incorrect, different functions of the parking/auxiliary heater and the heating and A/C system in the Front Information Display Control Head Control Module -J523- MMI cannot be displayed and selected. Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding" function and refer to the Owner's Manual and the Owner's Manual "Infotainment/MMI".
Depending on the version of the shared control modules and the coding of the Front A/C Display Control Head -E87- the additional functions of the parking/auxiliary heater and the heating and A/C system are selected and activated via the Front A/C Display Control Head -E87- knob of the control head of the Front Information Display Control Head Control Module -J523- MMI. Refer to the Owner's Manual and Owner's Manual "Infotainment/MMI".
Pay attention to the correct allocation and coding of the Front A/C Display Control Head -E87- for example to the Front Information Display Control Head Control Module -J523- or to the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794-. If the allocation is incorrect the different functions of the parking/auxiliary heater and the heating and A/C system in the Front Information Display Control Head Control Module -J523- MMI are not displayed and selected.
- Via the Front Information Display Control Head Control Module -J523- MMI the various functions for the activation of the heating and A/C system are entered and shown on the corresponding display. Refer to the Infotainment/MMI Operating Instructions.
